You'll find lots of articles out there touting great "network marketing secrets" you should employ to make your business a success. And truly, there are a lot of great ideas out there you can use. We're all looking for them because we want to figure out the best way to create a customer or business associate out of the strangers we encounter online.

There are many suggested techniques and ideas out there, but in one fundamental way many miss one key point. And this is also the area where the majority of network marketers make their critical mistake: As soon as a lead is generated, they jump in with a sales pitch.

You've probably experienced it yourself. There are people and organizations out there talking about how great their organization is and why you need to "Join right now!" How much incentive is that-really?

The Secret is To Pre sell

The single best network marketing secret out there is to pre sell before you ever even think about asking for the sale. There are a couple of gurus out there today who positively excel in teaching this technique. For instance, Mike Dillard, who can be found at Magnetic Sponsoring, and Ann Sieg, who is from Renegade Network Marketer, teach constantly that you must first attract and teach prospects.

In reality, most network marketers just don't have the patience to pull it off. But if they could develop it, their business would see the difference. Pre selling is probably the single best network marketing secret-and the key to building your business.

When you learn to pre sell successfully, you never even need to throw out a sales pitch at all. Your potential customers and associates will literally come to you. Here's a short example of how this might work for you:

1. A prospect comes to your landing page or other lead generator.

2. You learn about this prospect (perhaps they provide their email address inquiring about your free report). Of course, this prospect is immediately expecting you to come on strong with a sales pitch, as most network marketers do. But you surprise this prospect when you deliver no sales pitch at all. Instead, you provide information that talks about how they can focus on their own goals.

3. As time moves along you teach and educate them on the benefits and ways of building an online empire. You talk about providing others with valuable information, and anything else except anything resembling a sales pitch.

4. Following communications conducted over a period of time-usually three weeks or more-the prospect trusts you and understands that you are sincerely interested in helping other people succeed in building an online business. They ask you what online network company you work with. A good number of them will inquire about how they, too, can join in this successful endeavor.

Are all the pieces starting to take shape? When you are able to pre sell yourself, they begin to see the importance of their long range plans. In the end, this is one of the best kept network marketing secrets.
