We all know a woman that is currently pregnant. It almost seems like everyone is going to have a baby. You could even be having a baby yourself. Here are a couple gift ideas that will be popular with the mom to be. These gift ideas will set you apart from the crowd and are sure to be remembered. If you are the one who is shopping for mom these are some great gift ideas. If you are mom, you may want to put these on your gift registry.

1. Diapers. Yeah, you might be thinking there is nothing special or exciting about diapers. The reason you might be thinking that is because you have never had a baby. Let me tell you that one of the most appreciated gifts is diapers. The mother to be may not even realize how much she is thankful for diapers until after the baby is born. You can spice up the gift of diapers a bit by buying what is called a diaper cake. A diaper cake is just a bunch of diapers and other baby necessities stacked in the shape of a cake.

2. Layettes, blankets, socks and burp cloths. Chances are they are going to get lots of these. However, these gifts tend to come in newborn or three months sizes which after a few weeks probably won't serve its purpose any longer. This is a great gift if you buy them in larger sizes. After a few months, mom still has brand new presents for the baby to enjoy.

3. Pamper products for Mom. The last few weeks of pregnancy are very uncomfortable and can be arduous on Mom. Let Mom have the star treatment as well. Once the baby is born, Mom's 15 minutes of fame are over.

4. Savings Bonds. A savings bond is a good way to help invest in the child's future. While everyone is thinking of now you are thinking ahead. It may also help jumpstart parents to jumpstart on baby's future if they haven't already.

5. Gift Certificates are the best. You can never go wrong with gift certificates. You do have to spend a little more on a gift certificate to get that wow look but think of it as time you are saving having to shop for a gift. You should buy a gift certificate at the store the gift registry is at. If there is no gift registry you may want to consider a gift check card. Gift check cards are from the major credit card companies and they look just like a credit card. They can be used at any store that accepts credit cards.

Tip: I don't recommend buying clothing unless the parents-to-be asked for it. Chances are they have already gone shopping and couldn't resist those tiny adorable outfits.
